The Story

  • I'm still striving to be "altogether too happy," but I'm also allowing myself to evolve. Please pardon the dust while I work to renovate and update my blog!

    MY PRESENT

    • Co-explorers on safari
On October 1st, 2008 with the help of LOTS of fellow bloggers, I issued a challenge to put ten to twelve photos of your "present" life together in a small, portable album. The intent is to keep this album with or near you for one whole year, looking through it frequently. On October 1st, 2009, we will dedicate a scrapbook layout to our experience. Give Yourself a Present!

    Your PRESENT

Your "presence" in this challenge has been so gratifying. Thank YOU for appreciating your life and for sharing it with me and others!

Ok, I'm determined to update the look of this blog over the next couple of weeks. Unlike many, many other bloggers, I'm happy with a new banner about twice a year!! I did just add several new links to the Keeping Tabs sidebar (left) If you have time, check them out!! I'm especially happy that we now have a magazine blog, authored by Angie Lucas -- she is doing such a great job. It really ought to be on your regular blogging route!!

And while your surfing, check out SmileBox
I met them at the Seattle Show -- their website says it all:

Smilebox creates a new category of service called "creative messaging," which draws from related categories including photo services, scrapbooking and greetings; delivering a new medium for communication that is unparalleled in its ability to convey mood, thought and emotion.

In 2009 I'll be documenting daily life through daily photos. This project is an additional opportunity to celebrate our fast-paced, full-of-kids life that is unfolding every minute. Beyond this, I'll be focusing on creating pages for our family's "Library of Memories." With my daily photos filling up their own album, I'll have total freedom to find and tell the less immediate stories. I want to refine processes involving my category drawers, so that I can draw the deeper connections that bring me so much satisfaction.
